Integrating care plans with care rotas is made easy with CarePlanner. Quickly turn a care plan into specific tasks and schedule these to repeat as needed. Furthermore, CarePlanner will automatically suggest care workers with the correct skills to carry out the required tasks and flag if currently allocated care workers lack these specific skills.
CarePlanner is more than just home care rostering system. An administrator can take a care plan and schedule all aspects of this to be delivered over any timeframe. Scheduled diary entries will pop up on a care worker’s rota, or in their mobile app, to remind them of specific requirements to meet the service user’s care plan.

Scheduling a Care Plan
From the moment a care plan is written and available to an administrator, the details can be added to the service user’s notes and specific tasks added to each appointment as required.
New care types can be set up to account for specific medications or physical activities to carry out. For instance, certain medications may only be required every few days, whereas others need to be scheduled daily, in which case these can be set up as a care type and added to some appointments, but not others.
When a care worker completes each appointment, they check off each task or care type as complete. This provides confirmation that specific items on the care plan have been completed.
Matching Care Plan Tasks to Care Worker Skills
As new care types are created to handle specific requirements of a care plan, these will be available to add as a skill to each care worker. Specialised skills such as dementia care or giving injections require a different level of expertise and should only be assigned to care workers who have these skills.
Once care types are assigned to care staff, you can immediately see which care staff are capable of delivering the appropriate level of care for each appointment. CarePlanner can automatically suggest the most appropriately skilled member of staff for each appointment, and will flag up any shortfalls in previously allocated staff skills.
