Our Core Values
We conduct ourselves in an honest and ethical way with everyone we do business with. And we don’t go in for the ‘hard sell’ because we don’t promise what we can’t deliver. We genuinely believe our system leads to better care quality, and we’re proud to stand by that claim.
We maintain rigorous standards, no matter how big or small the project. We start from a baseline of common sense, and feedback loops and team retrospectives show us how to improve. Sharing that knowledge with each other and acting on it is essential for achieving great results for our clients.
We share a mutual trust with each other. Our best work isn’t produced by individuals, but as individuals working as a team. There’s no ‘us and them’. We enjoy collaborating and supporting each other, and even more importantly we enjoy sharing and learning from each other.
We’re all accountable for our own actions. Our strong work ethic is reflected in doing an excellent job, all of the time. If we fail to do that, we examine why and then try to do better. It’s the least that those working in social care should expect from us.
We operate with respect and consideration, being sensitive to the experiences and feelings of others. Empathy is what connects us and drives a great culture. Social care operates with empathy at its very core, and it also helps drive great products.
Hybrid Working with CarePlanner
Our flexible hybrid working model allows colleagues to manage their own schedule, splitting their time between working from home and one of our offices in either Bristol or Bridgwater in a way that works best for them.
Most of our colleagues are now working from home 3 or 4 days per week, but we do have people who prefer to come into the office every day – either is fine with us!
While we are happy for people to base themselves wherever they feel happier and most productive, we do expect everyone to attend key team meetings in person as we believe developing strong personal relationships with your closest colleagues is really important.
We also expect new starters to spend more time in the office when they first join as we believe that onboarding is best done face to face and gives new starters a better feel for CarePlanner and how we do things.
Wherever someone chooses to work from, it is essential we consistently meet our clients needs. Our approach adopting and supporting a flexible hybrid working is based on the following:
Support from Managers
Great Technology
Commitment
Mutual Trust & Respect
Open & Honest Communication

What our Colleagues say…
“Currently, I work from home most of the week although I pop to the office for team meetings twice per month. I actually enjoy going to the office as I like the camaraderie of my colleagues and I find team meetings motivate me. Saying that, when I’m at home, I can really concentrate and focus on my role, knowing that if I have a question, our slack channel offers a speedy response from either my manager or colleagues.
“Personally, hybrid working enables me to spend quality time with my family during the week as I haven’t got a lengthy commute. And I now keep more of my salary as I’m not spending it on daily travel.
“My wellbeing has also improved as hybrid working ensures I get a positive work-life balance.“
